چکیده
This paper introduces a methodology based on Python libraries and machine learning k-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) algorithms to create an interactive 3D HTML model (3D_Vertical_Sections_Faults_LRD.html) that combines 2D grain-size KNN-prediction vertical maps (vertical sections) from which syn-sedimentary faults other features in sedimentary porous media can be delineated. The visualized handled with conventional web browsers. physical parameter is measurable, constant over instrumental time, handleable mathematically, its range associated lithological classes. Grain-size input data comes public database of 433 boreholes the Llobregat River Delta (LRD) NE Spain. Four classes were defined: Pre-Quaternary basement, Quaternary gravel, sand, clay–silt. Using new algorithm, seven NW–SE (transversal) three SW–NE (longitudinal) sections created following orientation identified surface detected reflection seismic geophysical surveys. A Growth Model for Porous Sedimentary Rocks
A growth model for porous sedimentary rocks is proposed, using a simple computer simulation algorithm. We generate the structure by ballistic deposition of particles with a bimodal size distribution. Porosity and specific surface area are calculated varying the proportion of small and larger particles. Permeability and it’s variation with porosity are studied. The fractal nature of the pore spa...
متن کاملPredicting Medical Conditions Using k-Nearest Neighbors
As the healthcare industry becomes more reliant upon electronic records, the amount of medical data available for analysis increases exponentially. While this information contains valuable statistics, the sheer volume makes it difficult to analyze without efficient algorithms. By using machine learning to classify medical data, diagnoses can become more efficient, accurate, and accessible for t...
متن کاملOptical Character Recognition, Using K-Nearest Neighbors
The problem of optical character recognition, OCR, has been widely discussed in the literature. Having a hand-written text, the program aims at recognizing the text. Even though there are several approaches to this issue, it is still an open problem. In this paper we would like to propose an approach that uses K-nearest neighbors algorithm, and has the accuracy of more than 90%. The training an...
متن کاملk*-Nearest Neighbors: From Global to Local
The weighted k-nearest neighbors algorithm is one of the most fundamental nonparametric methods in pattern recognition and machine learning. The question of setting the optimal number of neighbors as well as the optimal weights has received much attention throughout the years, nevertheless this problem seems to have remained unsettled. In this paper we offer a simple approach to locally weighte...
متن کاملThree-dimensional flow and reaction in porous media: Implications for the Earth’s mantle and sedimentary basins
We present a theoretical and numerical study of the reorganization of a porous matrix due to fluid flow coupled with dissolution or precipitation processes. We find that under certain conditions, flow of corrosive fluids results in unstable growth of the permeability and increasing disequilibrium in fluid chemistry with time. High-permeability channels may form parallel to the direction of flow...
